Pure cotton fabrics can be divided into knitted fabrics and woven fabrics according to the weaving method.
1. Knitted fabric: made of one or more sets of stitches. According to the looping direction of the yarn in the material, knitted fabrics can be divided into warp knitted fabrics and weft knitted fabrics.
2. Warp knitting: knitted fabric is formed by one or more groups of parallel arranged yarns forming a circle on all working needles fed into the machine simultaneously.
3. Weft knitting: one or more groups of yarns arranged in parallel on all working needles of the machine are fed along the weft direction and simultaneously formed loops to form knitted fabrics. Only one (or a limited number) of yarn is needed to develop a weft-knitted material, while a warp knitted fabric requires one or several sets of strings, each group of threads is composed of multiple yarns.
